Self-service launderettes — Quality Wash
These general terms and conditions govern access to and use of the self-service launderettes operated under the Quality Wash trade name. They are displayed on the premises and are deemed to be known and accepted without reservation by every customer as soon as they enter the launderette and/or use any of its facilities.
Every customer is deemed to have read these general terms and conditions and declares that they accept them without any reservation by the mere fact of using the machines or any other equipment made available. They apply to the exclusion of any other terms and conditions.
Quality Wash makes washing machines and dryers available to its customers on a self-service basis. The customer carries out all washing and drying operations on their own laundry themselves. No member of staff intervenes in the handling of the laundry, which remains the customer’s sole responsibility.
Opening hours are strict: from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. The customer must have completed all washing and drying operations by 10:00 p.m. and must leave the premises by 10:00 p.m. at the latest. It is the customer’s responsibility to allow for the duration of the cycles in order to comply with these hours.
The customer is solely responsible for their laundry. In particular, it is their responsibility to sort their laundry, check the care labels, select the appropriate programme, temperature and products, comply with the maximum load of the machines and empty all pockets of any objects. The customer is solely responsible for the result of the washing and drying.
The customer declares that they have noted the condition of the machine before using it. By starting a machine, they acknowledge that they found it in apparent good condition and suitable for the use they intend to make of it. Any anomaly observed must be reported before any use; failing this, the customer is deemed to have accepted the machine in its current condition.
Quality Wash may not under any circumstances be held liable for the use of the washing machines and dryers, nor for the result of the washing or drying. Nor may Quality Wash be held liable for any laundry that is lost, stolen, forgotten or damaged, whether it is in a machine or on the premises or results from an oversight by the customer. The customer uses the facilities and visits the premises at their own risk.
Quality Wash accepts no responsibility for the loss of laundry resulting from an oversight in a machine. When laundry is found in a machine after 10:00 p.m., it is kept for 24 hours at the back of the premises in order to prevent theft. After this period, unclaimed laundry will be given away or thrown away, without the customer being able to bring any claim in this respect.
When a washing machine or dryer has completed its cycle and its user is not present, any other customer is authorised to remove the laundry in order to be able to use the machine or dryer. Quality Wash accepts no responsibility for laundry thus removed by another customer, the laundry remaining in all circumstances the sole responsibility of its owner.
Smoking, eating and drinking are prohibited in the launderette, with the exception of drinks and food purchased on site. The customer undertakes to use the facilities in accordance with their intended purpose, to respect the premises, the equipment and the other customers, and to leave the space clean after use.
The customer uses the machines in accordance with the instructions and pictograms displayed. In particular, it is prohibited to wash items not intended for machine washing or presenting a risk (laundry impregnated with flammable or dangerous substances or substances liable to damage the equipment). It is furthermore strictly prohibited to wash blankets, baskets, cushions or any other textile intended for animals. The customer is liable for any damage they cause to the machines, the facilities or third parties as a result of improper or abusive use.
The accepted means of payment are cash in euros and debit cards. Credit cards are not accepted. No refund may be claimed for a programme that has been started, nor for a result considered insufficient where this results from the customer’s choices or handling.
Quality Wash may not be held liable for interruptions to the service beyond its control (water or electricity cuts, breakdown, maintenance, etc.) nor for any resulting loss. In the event of a proven malfunction of a machine that has collected payment without providing the service, the customer is invited to report it as soon as possible using the contact details indicated on the premises.
The customer is responsible for any damage they cause, directly or indirectly, to the machines, the facilities, the premises or the other customers.
Any complaint must be addressed to Quality Wash using the contact details shown on the premises and/or above, as soon as possible after the event giving rise to it.
Quality Wash reserves the right to amend these general terms and conditions at any time. The applicable terms and conditions are those displayed on the premises at the time of use.
These terms and conditions are governed by Belgian law. In the event of a dispute, only the courts of the judicial district [of Brussels / of the place where the premises are located] shall have jurisdiction.
